I'm surprised that Purch hasn't pulled the plug on these forums. They can't be making more than a few bucks a day with everyone running ad blockers. Factor in hosting and bandwidth costs in addition to maintenance (even as little as Purch has put into them) and they could even be losing money.

Purch is a pariah. One of those companies that buys up fading content sites, sucks up investor money, and hopes to profit when they sell out. I thought that business model died 12-15 years ago.
