Office Depot has a $50K contest going on right now. I noticed in their rules that Canadians must undergo a skill test before they can claim a prize.

edit: and the one time I had to answer one, the lady just gave me the answer anyways. I can't remember what it was for though.

Basically, gambling is mostly illegal in Canada, so you have to show you earned the prize with some skill. That's why.
