In BF2, does anybody know how to change your name?

As I have stated, I have tried changing it to no avail. I even deleted the account off of my machine, changed my name again at gamespy, and retrieved the account. Still, the old name came up. I emailed EA tech. support, and while the response was quick and polite, it was otherwise useless. Help would be very much apprieciated. Thanks.

Atm you can not change your ingame nickname. If you wish to do so, you need to register a new one. What you can change however is the name shown under BFHQ stats page. But if you ask me that is quite pointless, since ingame it will still be the same.

To bad they dont' have the option of letting one email addy tie up to more than one nick.

does anyone know how to delete my current account so I can then use my existing email address to create a new account? I would much rather do this than create a new email address.
