in baseball is the visiting team dugout always on the first base side?

No..

At the Pirates spring training games, the Pirates are ALWAYS on first base line. I've been to probby 20 of them.

no. usually 1st base is the home team but not always.

It doesnt matter i guess

I know for sure the Mets are on the First base side
and the Angles are on the 3rd base...

weird that its not standard

Was just at Giants game, and their home dugout is on the 3rd base side, but I know a bunch of teams are on the 1st base side. In fact, the Giants AAA squad in fresno is on the 1st base side, so not even inside the orginization is it constant.

I still haven't made it this year - the Dodgers game i had tickets for was rained out on Saturday. I already had tickets for the other game of the double header make up game too. Guess thats going to be a drunken afternoon / evening :)
