yesterday was "Philippe's" 100'th anniversary in Los Angeles.. the lines were out the door and down the street and around the block and a good 1/2 mile long i hear.

I would go have in - n - out on the 22nd regardless of the 60th anniversary or not.

I have 3 In-N-Outs probably in a 10 mile radius to me so I've never really had a problem with finding one. I think they're great price and quality wise, but the wait at the drive thrus can be such a pain in the ass. Not to mention I think the burger is the only decent part of the meal. I've never found their shakes to be awesome, and the fries never did it for me. Although I do commend them for their great business...I don't think it's all that amazing.

Philippe's on the other hand is the shit.

Langers > Philippe's x infinity

(even though that is like comparing apples and oranges)

if it's true it's not gonna be worth it, as it is In-N-Out is already packed opening till closing, the service is fast for how many people are typically there, but if this rumor is true, wait times would be SICK.

Ages ago I went to the Original Tommy's in LA for their 50th I believe, they had the same pricing from the day they opened all day. Now that Tommys for anyone who goes there is probably one of the fastest serving fast food places ever. I'll order and typically have a hot, fresh burger and Chili Cheese Fries ready about 2 seconds after I've paid for my food. We got to the Anniversary event and the line was a mile long. Being Tommy fanatics we decided to say 'fuck it!' and wait, we waited about 20 minutes and the line moved about 20 feet. At that rate it would have took 3 or 4 hours to get up to the shack, if we were lucky.

In-N-Out will be about the same.

To Baked - *IF* it happens I'm sure it'll be like Tommys was. The limited you to 3 original burgers only. To keep the line moving they even restricted special orders.

I've been wanting to try an In and out burger ever since it was mentioned in "The Big Lebowski", sadly none here in FL..

And you would be WRONG!!! 😛

He's probably one of them that says Whattacrappyburger is better than In and Out.

Meh, Carl's Jr. is better than In 'n Out.

Personally I like Fatburger the best, but only if you get it charbroiled, the fried ones stink (the default cooking method).

honestly, go to Safeway, buy some ground beef and fire up a BBQ. Just slapping the raw meat on there with no seasoning or any preparation will yield a 1000% better burger than In 'n Out. I don't know what they do to their burgers, cause I can barely taste the meat, all I taste is this weird mix of grease, cheese and thousand island dressing. blech...

Carls better then In N Out is like saying Chilis is better then Peter Lugers. But hey we all have our own tastes.

Fatburger is the most overpriced, overrated crap ever. In-N-Out tastes GREAT and is impossible to duplicate, even their lettuce rocks. they cook the patties with nothing but a buncha salt on top. I would also say In-N-Out is consistent. Carl's is good, but the few by me you never know if you're gonna get a delicious burger, or an overcooked dry ass burger.

Give me a break. It is like saying Chili's is better than Denny's (or switch however you want to rate them). In 'n Out is a fast food joint, it is good for fast food, but it is still fast food. Go into any sit down restaurant and you will get a better burger.

Not true lol

InNOut is better than a ton of sit down burgers.

Not saying it's better than all, but definitely better than most.

Someone PLEASE tell me how to order In N Out to make it good. Now that I'm in the Bay Area, I need to figure this out. couple of years ago when visiting, the In N Out I had was pretty much meh, and I'm told there is this art to it....

so what the fuck makes them good? and I refuse to eat anything with Mayo on it, so there is that...

No mayo unless you ask for it or consider thousand island in the mayo family...

But I usually get (insert type of burger here), grilled onions, reg onions, extra toast bun, fries well, xl lemonade

When stoned do #1 animal style, reg onions, xl lemonade, animal style fries if you wanna die.

They are ridiculously tasty cuz they are well proportioned, cheap, tasty, and consistent 🙂

order your burger 'animal style' -- it will come with minced grilled onions, pickles, and the beef patty is fried with mustard. I liked the regular burger for many years, but when I tried it animal style, it was a revelation

Damn it, now I have to drive over to In N Out for lunch. I think I'll just have 2x cheezeburgers.

If you DO do animal style, I strongly suggest the extra toasted bun or that shit will fall apart.

Also, if you don't like your fries limpy, get your fries well done. And dip that shit in spread unless you're health conscious 🙂

srsly this thread makes me want innout...which is conveniently located down the street...
