The British don?t have mass on the same scale as say the US Forces, but our quality in troops is superior IMO. SAS anybody.

And let me just say, if it came down to it we would wipe the floor with Israel. The British have been winning wars for many centuries, its in our blood.

dont forget the SBS (special boat service......) i think these guys are even more hardcore than the SAS, plus..... any of the top divisions from scotland are just insane.

having been in isreal with the US Navy and having played war games against them and the brits.
Id go with Isreal hands down in a conventional war..

The have been fighting every day of thier lives agaisnt counties bigger and technically stronger than they are..

thier Airforce is superior and thier troops are among the best trained and most motivated in the world..

O RLY?

The Royal Air Force (often abbreviated to RAF) is the air force branch of the British Armed Forces. The RAF is the oldest independent air force in the world, formed on April 1, 1918. The RAF has taken a significant role in British military history since then, playing a large part in World War II, and more recently in conflicts such as the recent war in Iraq. With some 942 aircraft and a manpower of 49,210 (in 2005), the RAF is one of the largest air forces in the world. It is also one of the most technologically advanced, a position which is being enhanced significantly with the purchase of 232 Eurofighter Typhoons.

yes and?

that means nothing if they cant fly them...

the US in war games constantly PWNS the brits... USN and USAF in excercises never won..

the only country that ever impressed any of our pilots in war games was Isreal.. several times during my service they were able to best us in war games and penetrate the carriers defences

I dont care how big an airforce is if they arnt trained as well and have as much combat experience as another..

remeber that Isreal is US equipped as well..
F16s F/A-18s F-15s and other modern US aircraft in thier inventory

Eurofighter is overrated crap btw.. every dogfight we ever had with it versus our F/A-18Cs and Ds not even superhornets in excercises they got pwned...
and F-16s really dog it bad... lol Id love to see an F-22 raptor flat out rip them a new one..

Seeing as my friends brother was in the RAF and spent two years in Texas teaching USAF boys to fly AH64's I think you are talking BS. Especially when you just fling out, 'The Eurofighter is crap'. If it was built by LM you'd be chugging on it's cock...pit.

So remind me when you had a dogfight with the Typhoon? The first squadrons were formed THIS JANUARY.

Well RAF doesnt (cant) teach us anything.. especially casue the USAF doesnt have any AH-64s thats a US Army Aircraft...
By US Military regulations as most of the Apache is above secret so foriegn nationals would not be exposed to it or its systems.. if they are invited here for anything they are OBSERVERS or here to be trained BY THE BEST they couldnt teach the US how to fly a Cessna... we use Army instructors for Apache program is not open to Brits..

by the way I just posted an article that shows Isreal is rated higher in manpower and strength than the UK..

the Eurofighter has yet to win 1 even simulated engagement vs our aircraft in war games..
in the entire 10 years I was in (and yes we get to watch the TACTS (telemetry from the dogfights sent back to earth by our TACTS pods) not one time did our Hornets/US Pilots loose a dogfight/engagemnt to any British aircraft including your precious Eurofighter..

What a bag of horse-pucky. I'm talking fact, you are talking speculation.

YOU HAVE NEVER FOUGHT THE EUROFIGHTER YOURSELF NOT LEAST BECAUSE IT ONLY WENT INTO ACTIVE SERVICE THIS JANUARY.

gotta love the US attitude..... they think they are the muts nuts at everything, especially when it comes to war. jus let them get on with it.

our guys are harder than yours 😛

Oh yeah?! Well...we have the F-22....which is grat because it costs more than it's weight in gold to produce! :|

😉

Not to be bias here... why is the poll listed as Country versus Religion versus Country? If you're talking about Isreal, put Isreal in the poll, not Jews. (No, I'm not Jewish)
