I know a very happily married couple with five children. He's 6'5" and she's 5'1"
They look a bit silly when they're dancing, but they're still in love and that's what really matters.

I think only one of their kids is shorter than average... btw, which is probably what your overly controlling parents are really worried about.

i'm 5'0", my bf is 6'2". my parents like that he's tall, i don't think his care.

as long as my kids don't turn out to be short like me, it's all good (which is what your parents care about.)

My Grandpa was almost 6 feet tall and my Grandma was around 4'2" tall. Their wedding picture was just so cute. :D

Height really doesn't mean that much to me. I dated guys shorter than me and taller than me and it didn't really matter. I'm 5'8" and married someone 6'.

I went on a few dates with a girl who is 5 foot nothing. I'm 6'6". The height difference was funny, but it wasn't a problem.

OP, it's probably because your parents think it looks awkward or they want taller grandchildren.

My dad is 5'11" and my uncles are all over 6' tall. We are Koreans BTW. But my mom is 5' tall, and I am only 5'7" and my brother is 5'8". My cousins are all taller than us, and their moms (aunts) are taller than my mom. I guess my mom feels bad for us so she tells us to marry a girl at least 5'3". :(

That's ridiculous. I see couples with that kind of height difference all the time.

Your male kids will probably be about 5'9" on average, or in the 5'7" to 5'11" range. (5'1" + 6') / 2 + 2.5"
