Ok so i used to work this job thats a 37mile commute.. paid $10/hr I worked 7 - 4 mon through Fri. Now I work at another job that is literally walking distance. That pays $8/hr.
My work schedule is kind of fvcked. I work Mon/Tues/Fri/Sat one week then Sun/Wed/Thurs the next. So it works out I have every other weekend off. BUT!! this new job is a night job. 7pm to 7am. And on Monday wednesday when i have classes 8am to 2pm i only get about 4 hours of sleep. if i have to go into work the next day. The new job has health Insurance and paid sick/ vacation days, and excellent chance for advancement., but i'm not really allowed off for school. The Other job that use to work let me off Mon/Wed for school. My new job seems to drain my social life to. My girlfriend is pulling that whole "I don't like it but it's ok, really it's ok" which totally means it not ok.
Just for the record. The first Job was in a Book Bindery, operating folders, and perfect binders. The new job is at Acxiom which is a big data center that deals with off site customer backups.
So my question to the An And Tech'ers is.. What would you do? I'm trying to think of my options.
A.) I could go back to the higher paying job, but i have to pay for gas on the commute. And go to school.
B.) Two more years of school I could just though it out. And then have a freaking awesome job, but man that can't be healthly.. Lack of sleep and all. But after all a lot of people would kill to have a job like this.
C.) Screw life become a bum.

Crappy job pays good, good job pays crappy. Good job is drain on me and my social life. Stick it out, or potentially blow my future, and take the easy route?
