"Well, I generally get in about ten to fifteen minutes late. I come in by the side door, so Lumbergh won't see me. Then once I sit down, I generally zone out for an hour or so."

"Zone out?"

"Yeah, just stare at my desk and do nothing. I do that for a couple hours after lunch, too. I think in any given week I do about fifteen minutes of real, honest, solid work.

7:00am - 8:30am = surf the net till people start getting in.

8:30am -9:30am check to see what I have on my plate today and email. Mostly nothing.

9:30am -11:00 - Try to do something constructive. If not any, surf internet and when bored walk around to the different floors.

11:00-11:30am = Still either walking around or surfing the net

11:30am - 1:15 = lunch

1:15 = 2:30 = Try again to find something to do and if there is any try to actually wori. Mostly again nothing to do.

2:30 -3:00 = Surf the net

3:00pm = End of day and leave work

My job is so f*cken boring and stressful with all the dumb people that I have to work for.
I need a f*cken new job.

Dude this is word for flippin' word how my day goes except I'm there 'til like 3:30-4pm somedays, and flextime to get off at like 2pm somedays.

I mean I can't decide...I LIKE not being stressed & overloaded but it's SO boring. I mean there's only so much entertainment that's 1) work safe and 2) allowed past our net filter that the internet can provide. Ah well, money is money.

But seriously... Isnt that really boring for you guys just to do nothing all day? Working makes the day go faster for me.....

True, but when there is absolutely nothing to do, what are you going to do. Go begging your boss for work to do.

I myself don't want to do that because

1. It will make it look as if your job is not really needed and you don't have anything to do.

And 2, I don't really care if I earn brownie points from my boss or not. As long as he thinks I am busy, I keep it that way. Funny thing is that he thinks that my plate is full everyday and never bothers me. He was asking to get rid of some of my job responsibilites because thought that I was just too swamped. LOL But I keep it on the download if you know what I mean.

3, the money is very very good despite the boringness. Which would you rather have, work your ass off and get paid peanuts or do nothing but get paid very well.

LOL...I hope he don't know what my username is on here and happends to be one of you here on ATOT or my cover will be blown.

whassup, yes sir you need outta there!

invalidiuser, dude tell me about it! I'm not gonna blow my cover & ask for MORE crap to do! I mean half the stuff that we are made to do in the corporate world (sales tax audits from 2003?! WHO CARES?!) is pointless anyway; this would just make me do more pointless crap! I keep myself looking busy. It's awesome b/c I have a dual monitor (well, a laptop screen + a 17" old school CRT) setup and the CRT can be seen by ppl walking by so I keep WORK on it and ATOT on my laptop screen w/ a horrible viewing angle so only I can see it ;)
