You must have missed the feel sorry for BP's British shareholders thread. There is a contingent here who will side with anyone against America if it hurts Obama.

Like others have said it all depends on the situation. There seems to be more people on this site that would support Obama regardless of what he did, than people that would support opposition to him.

Would you support Obama if he allowed Iran to use a WMD on Israel? Would you support Obama if he allowed another holocaust to occur somewhere in the world and not step up to the plate and help stop it?

I don't agree with him on many policies and beliefs, but there are some he is right on about. Like developing new nuclear power plants.

Ok Ok, at this point in time, the American people's support of Israel is quite significant. Just a glance at the poll shows its not absolute, but its still shocking large.

Nor was that Israeli support built up overnight, the American press is more pro-Israeli than anywhere else on earth. And the US pro Palestinian press is vanishingly small.

But still, I do not think it is something Israel can always count on. Even up to the last days before Pearl Harbor, American support for Nazi Germany was rather large within the USA, not as large as Israeli support is now, but still quite significant.

But by Dec 8, 1941, that pro German support inside the USA vanished faster the snow flakes on a hot stove. And if Bozo Netanyuhu and Israel does something outrageous, that US support of Israel could vanish equally fast.

Obama thinks Israel is trash. Rev Wright thinks Israeli Jews are fakes and that blacks are the real Jews. The guy who got Obama into Harvard thinks the same thing (and he thinks its ok with God to cut their noses off). Ayers and Wright think Isralies create apartheid and are illegit. Of course Obama was good friends with Rashid Khalidi who was agent of the PLO. It was totally predictable Obama would throw Israel down the well.
