$200 for a COTTON jacket?

WTF?

It's cotton that was hand picked by child slaves in Ethiopia before being shipped to a child sweat shop in Indonesia to be hand sewed. They would have discounted it $60, but there was one more kid than normal who died in it's creation and they had to pay off the family.

"Oh, another cotton thread." Ironwing said balefully.

If it was cheaper I'd like it.

That said, it just doesn't look the part ["jacket"] enough for me to splurge that kind of cash on something that doesn't look all that appealing for Ohio winter.

I don't mind paying a bit for more stylish garb, but the function over form thing still comes to mind when price nears $200.

Hell, I decided to get a winter fleece for $20 (with discount and sale) instead of spending over $150 for a similar North Face. I like the way they look, but not at that price.
Wouldn't doubt such a purchase if I was getting a fleece and shell and routinely going into mountainous territory, but not when simply going about town or hanging around outside locally in the winter. I can layer easily if I have to, especially if I can avoid spending that kind of cash just to keep warm.

Bring that price closer to $100 and I'd be on it methinks.
