Improving wireless network range

Hi guys.

I have a Netgear ADSL/wireless box.

In some parts of the house the range is 'very low' and sometimes the wireless clients disconnect.

I need to improve the range of the signal so that I can use it in the farther rooms in the house.

Is there a better router with a stronger wireless signal available, or should I buy another router and create a wireless bridge (ie: install a repeater).

Any views?
