My 7200.8 drive is dying yet again.

Last itme they didnt let me get an advanced RMA (meaning they ship a replacement to me first before I ship mine back) and they wanted to charge me $25 if I wanted that Well FVCK THAT SH!T. I went to Fry's and bought a 300GB seagate and used it until I RMAed my 250GB and returned that 300GB. Hah. No advanced RMA = I have to take advantage of return policies.

Well my 7200.8 is failing YET AGAIN. HD Inspector tells me its dying.

I called and I complained, he said ok to the advanced RMA. Moreoever, I complained about the 7200.8 series in general, and I wanted a 7200.9 instead. I even asked about a 7200.10, and he said he's gonna try for that. WoW.

Makes me happy =)

Don't feel too bad I had 2 WD die for the same replacement after each other...f0ck knows what was happening but they have 'settled' now.

WD do advanced RMA for UK but it has to be sent to Germany. Seagate didn't do advance RMAs in England when I last needed it.

I had to excersize immense control to resist the 500GB Seagate for 189.99 OTD at Fry's in today's paper.
