Alright recently i tried to adjust my CAS latency of my RAM lower the normal...My computer beeped loudly and just shut off. Now when i turn it on I just get a blank screen.
This question is found alot on these forums as i have searched for it but got to answer.

Anyway I did everything to refresh my CMOS... Switching jumper cables. Taking out mobo battery disconnecting all power. And it wont work, I get it to boot but theres not signal to the monitor just a dead screen. Please help me, I really need this computer soon.

It could be a bad setting in your CMOS. If you didn't already do so, try using the jumper to clear it and reset the defaults. Maybe it will recognize your RAM correctly.

If it's your vid card, try removing it and reseating it. In fact, try that for any other plug in cards and your RAM, too.

Good luck. 🙂

First step is to unplug EVERYTHING. (Edit: As GregANDTCH said, unplug and reseat all of the power cables as well.)

Plug in just your video card, CPU and heat sink, and one stick of RAM. Turn the computer on to see what happens. If it works normally, then proceed to add one peripheral at a time (extra stick(s) of RAM, hard drive, CD drive, ect.). When it fails to boot again, the last item you plugged in is the problem device.

If you have access to a second computer or spare PC parts, try your video card and RAM (one at a time) in a different computer, and try a different video card and different RAM in this computer.

Yeah, I would definately try resetting your CMOS, I've solved a lot of problems that way. Fardringle gave some excellent advice. Unplug everything, then just plug in your CPU/HSF and 1 stick of RAM. Keep adding stuff until you get an error and voila, you have your culprit.
