importing .wmv in premiere shortens the duration?

ugh what a nightmare. basically, a VP at the company I work for used camtasia and a cheap dv camera and edited a video that is supposed to go out to some very important people - it looks like crap.. I was 'assigned' to 'fix' it. my issue at the moment, is when I try to import a .wmv file (should be 50 minutes, entire thing plays FINE in media player) into premiere pro 2.0, premiere thinks it's 21 minutes.

WTF would cause that? I have the latest windows media 9.1 encoding junk installed...

FFFFFSCCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKK I hate camtasia. The problem is with the way it's encoding crap. so.. ignore this post.

just curious why it would cost you your job? it's not like you originally used camtasia to get the original footage.
