Importing Phone book from SIM to Samsung S3

if you go to settings>accounts>google>your gmail account, is "contacts" checked, and what does it say for "last synced" ?

Ok I figured out how to import the individual v card files. You put them in a directory on the SD card or in the phone memory. Then you go to contacts setting Import/Export and tell it to import all v card files and it sucks them into the contact list. You can use the Kies software which is a pain to install or put the external SD card in a reader and store the files on it that way. Put the card in the phone and import.

I never managed to get it to sync with Google. I don't know what is up with that. Are you sure it will show up as email contacts. I now have two different google accounts and it does not write to any of them. It says it has synced but it never shows up.

If you have all the individual vcards as VCFs and you load then into Outlook, you can use this little tool to sync that with Google. Works like a charm.
