Importing outlook messages

I saved my inbox.dbx from my old win2k install. I now have XP and want to get my old outlook express messages (inbox.dbx) to my new outlook express. How do I do this? thanks. I burned the file to cd by the way,

I put my inbox.dbx folder in a backup directory where i would remember where it was. I forget where the windows default directory is for it, but anyhow...
After copying your dbx file, you MUST change the attribute! When you copy a file to a CDR, it becomes READ ONLY. If you do not remove the read only attribute, the import will never work.

Open up OE, go to 'Tools', 'Options', 'Maintenance' Tab, 'Store Folder', and change it to the directory you stored your DBX file in.

Hope this helps...

Very easy to do!

Click on this link!
It is a Word Document on how to do it.

Make sure you copy all the files to your hard drive and turn off the "read only" on them or you wont be able to import them.
