I have a .dbx file that I backed up a while ago for my IMAP email account. Since I'm not a complete idiot, I set Outlook Express to download the messages for offline use before I backed them up. I'm now trying to transfer these emails to Thunderbird, but I'm noticing that the .dbx files from OE are slightly different for IMAP than POP emails, even when they are locally stored for offline use. Using some magic I got OE to finally display the IMAP dbx file.

Anyway, my question is, is there a way to convert IMAP dbx files to regular dbx files? I figure there must be some sort of information in the file that says it's IMAP and to always check the server or something. Could I get rid of that extraneous code so that I can import my IMAP emails to Thunderbird?

Thanks for your assistance.
