importing/exporting bookmarks

ok, so i finally updated to firefox- HOW DO I GET MY BOOKMARDS TO IMPORT INTO FIREFOX. i just spent about 30 minutes trying to do so, and i cant figure it out. firefox doesnt find them automatically scanning, and i cant find the bookmarks folder for either browser. HELP!
 
Do this then:

(1) Go into IE and go under File --> Import and Export...
(2) Export the IE bookmarks to a HTML file (ie, C:\bookmarks.html)
(3) Startup Firefox and go under Bookmarks --> Manage Bookmarks
(4) Go under File --> Import, and select Import from File
(5) Choose the HTML file you created in step #2
(6) Profit!
