Importing a printer

I've got a post in gen hardware, but thought it was more appropriate here.

I'm going to import the Canon IP5000 from Australia. Anyone have any experience using foreign hardware and drivers on a US comp running Win XP Pro? I wouldn't think there would be problems, but then again I've never tried it.
