Unfortunately, AddAction.net was assigned ips from upstream provider Global Compass, Inc. Who purchased the 139.81.0.0/16 network (which you currently have a sub-allocation) from a third party about a year and a half ago and have just recently been informed by the American Registry of Internet Numbers (ARIN) that the 139.81.0.0/16 network block belonged to a different company and the individual that sold us the rights to use the 139.81/16 network block had no authority to do so. As a result, various IP addresses within the 139.81/16 block are ending up on several blacklisting sites, that network managers use to filter traffic, citing the
139.81.0.0/16 is a zombie/hi-jacked/spam network.
Global Compass has worked with ARIN to obtain a new network block to alleviate these issues. Unfortunately, the only way to completely alleviate the issues of black lists is to renumber out of the 139.81/16 IP space.
What does this mean for you?
We will change the main IP of the server and for those who have a dedicated IP, we will assign a new one. This change should NOT affect your hosting account in anyway. We will utilize both IPs simultaneously, while DNS info propagates throughout the Internet. For those who have a dedicated IP, we will send you a separate notice with your new IP once the change has been completed.
