Hi. I'm seeking some feedback from users that have a MS-6340M ( MSI ) or M7VKG ( Biostar ).

There are socket A 200/266 fsb micro-atx boards with built-in integrated sound and video ( Chipset KM133A ), a agp4x port ( may be usefull one day ) and other standard features like U-DMA100. Unfortunately they don't have integrated Ethernet but it is not needed for now ( dial-up ).

This board is not for intense computation tasks: This PC is exclusively dedicated for: Web surfing, 2D games, watch DVD, and may be burn CD, no more. Size matters a lot since this PC needs to be moved from time to time by a small person, therefore the lighter and the fewer add-on cards ( don't want to open the case too often to check if the cards still have good contact after transportation ), the better it is.

However, before I get any of these, I just want to make sure people did not get problems with it. I'm planning to buy it soon therefore I cannot wait for a new board to come around. If I missed some that already exist, that would be nice to let me know.

The MS-6340M seems available in two versions 3.0 and 5.0. I couldn't find any differences in functionnality. Anybody knows?

Thanks for reading.

]The pro5 model supports the XP series CPUs and the Integrated S3 Savage 4 3D Graphics Core has good DVD playback. Here's the link to check the boards specs against the other versions link

ECS K7SEM is a mATX board that have On-board Video and Sound. There's a PC CHips version of this board that includes a AMR Modem also.

hey, that's my line :)

Best available all-in-one: PC-Chips M810LR. SiS 730S chipset, 3D VGA, 4-channel sound, LAN onboard, AMR modem included, AGP and two PCI slots, 100 and 133 MHz (x2) CPU and SDRAM support.

Coming soon: 841LR. Will be faster thanks to new SiS 740 chipset w/ new 3D VGA engine and DDR SDRAM support. No AGP slot on that one, 3 PCI and an AMR for the modem.

regards, Peter

We use this board at church for workstations and the children's lab. Has worked fine for us. The liveupdate works well and not a bad board yet. The video is not the strongest but was better then previous units and as you say it can be upgraded. Been getting ours at tcwo.com
