Neither did my father or mother. They called the IRS, it seems there was a mistake. They said he can claim it as a write-off on his next years taxes, funny thing is he already has to many write-offs so he won't be gaining anything else. Stupid IRS.

I checked online, it said I was ineligible because I was claimed as a dependent. No one in my house has done so. LOL, government running a scam? Grr.

Of course, neither the media, the politicians, nor the pundits dare mention the nation's real issues -- Global Labor Arbitrage, Population Explosion, Worldwide Malthusian Crisis (in this context, Peak Oil). It's better to give the people some stimulus money and hope to get reelected for the next cycle than it is to be politically correct and mention the nation's real problems. Who wants to talk about the trade deficit, foreign outsourcing, foreign work visas (like the H-1B and L-1), illegal immigration, mass immigration, population explosion, encouraging birth control, and encouraging abortion? who wants to mention those things when the treasury can just print more money and cut checks to the sheeple, many of whom are fanatically religious about maintaining a "free market" economy.
