Except that's hardly the issue. All those Jobs that went Overseas merely did so to be Competitive Domestically. American Corps are competing against each other and once a few began chasing subsistence Wages Overseas, the rest followed. Not to be Competitive in the Global Market, but to be Competitive in the Domestic Market.

You're missing some important elements here. Like the effects of free movement of capital between separate, captive labour markets.
 
I think what made unions grow out of control was that they bridged companies. Unions should be limited to one company per union. With limited membership and funds they wouldn't be as big of a issue.
Those that used to be in manufacturing can now move into the service sector.
