i never really cook but I try.

when using cilantro. do you use the whole stem and leaf. or just leaves??

I believe it's just the leaves, usually. What does the recipe say to do with it?

just the leaves

keep in mind if you get a recipe asking for coriander its the same thing (usually in the US what ive seen as fresh was called cilantro, and the seeds are called coriander seeds...but theyre still both the same plant)

and remember not to get fresh herbs too hot if its a hot dish, theyll get bitter and go from tasting great to...well..meh-ish.

its for grilled porkchops?? so it will get super hot??

recipe called for:

2 cloves of garlic finely chopped.
2tbsp lime juice
2tbsp chopped cilantro
1c real hellmans mayo
1tsp of chipotle chille pepper

What you think? I have the mayo stuff all mixed together EXCEPT the lime juice. SO went to get that......

Chop up the whole thing. Here's a recipe for kick@ss chili sauce.

chopped ciliantro
lime wedge (has to be lime, it'll taste better)
thai chilis
garlic (optional)
fish sauce

Trust me, it's awesome!

that would be me. i LOVE cilantro. MMMMMM. i like the stems too, they arent so bad.

I usually use 1/2 a bunch along with a whole bunch regular parsley in my stew minus most of the stems (just for looks).

i think it smells like dirty socks. weird. Tastes good in food though.

OT:Anyone else having weird problems with AT jscripts? I can only quick reply, nothing else works. 😕

the stems might be a bit chewy down near the bottom. near the top though, they're fine to eat.
