Pulled my left trapezius about eight months ago. PT exercises have helped me get back most of the strength I lost while recovering, but now I've got a new problem that is just setting me up for more injury - a massive imbalance. My left trap is about half the size of my right.
I have been continuing the PT exercises (basically scapular retractions and external rotations) with a heavier weight on the left than the right and have been doing a ton of dumbbell shrugs using the same formula, but the left simply refuses to balance out. It's causing a problem because my left side tires out faster than my right while lifting.
Any suggestions? TIA.
