actually it's $2.99 AR. CC has it online for 27.99 before 2 rebates. Pretty hot deal. I've never had problems with imations.

both rebates ask for the original UPC, so which one should get the original? both rebates go to different p.o. boxes, by the way.

In my experience with Circuit City rebates, the CC half states a copy of the UPC barcode, leaving the original UPC for the manufacturer rebate.

As an example, I bought a Netgear PCMCIA NIC at CC yesterday (really!), which has a CC $20 MIR and a Netgear $10 MIR. When you buy the item, you get the regular register receipt, plus two "rebate redemption forms" (printed on the same register paper). On the CC rebate form it says to send itself, a copy of the receipt, and a copy of the UPC barcode. On the Netgear rebate form it says to send itself, a copy of the receipt, and the original UPC barcode. And yes, the rebates go completely different places. In this case the CC rebate goes to Young America, MN and the Netgear one to Phoenix, AZ.

Hope this helps.

The online rebate forms call for the original UPC with the $10 and a copy with the $15.

This deal is available on the website. Search for Imation or IMT 41182.

Given the way it works when you purchase in the store (see my post above), I would think you could send a copy of the UPC for the CC rebate without too much anxiety. Otherwise maybe someone who bought the same item in the store could scan and provide the CC rebate form they got. I have the rebate forms for the Netgear FA511 if anyone needs them.

Can you buy from CC online an pick-up at store . My reason for asking is to reserve them before they sell out .

YMMV: Try a pricematch with CompUSA @ $24.99. (Avoid management if possible). Take a print-out from the CompUSA site with you. Some will honor it, some won't, as CC usually doesn't match if their price is cheaper after rebate. One store in Nashville does, another doesn't.

Yes, as long as the item is in stock at the store you choose. Choose "Express pickup locations" at top right of home page.

I learned about this rebate while at the store today, so I didn't know about it being 2 bucks less if you buy it online then go to the store and pick it up.

I had to go back to the store anyway so I considered returning the cdrs and getting them for 2 bucks less but I didn't bother. 5 bucks for 50 is a good enough deal.

As a matter of fact, I had first gone to OfficeMax to get the no-name brand(khypermedia) for 9.99 for 50 but they were sold out, lucky thing.

I just got back from Circuit City. They pricematched CompUSA $14.99 but they would not give me the rebate forms that printed out. They said I could not qualify for the rebates on price adjustments. I said "yeah right, no prob. I'll just download the forms from the website" :)
$16.23 Total

Can you guys tell me the manufacturer for these cd-r's? I'm pretty sure they're made in Taiwan so they're definitely not TY. One more thing, have you guys tried burning these media at 24x and were there any problems?

Thanx

I got in on the 4.99 AR deal on these at Best Buy a couple weeks ago, they burn 24x in my Liteon without any problem. They are made in Taiwan and are the same as the Acer 50pk 4.99 deal that was at Best Buy a couple months ago.

Hey, folks... I jumped on this and PMed Circuit City to CompUSA's price ($14.99). I'm now in the process of filling out the Rebate forms, but I have a question... It asks for a Serial #, and I don't know which number to put... There's the UPC, which is different from the Stock # (which is already on the rebate form in a different place... Anyone know?

Thanks!

overload128:
Just leave it blank, that's what I read on another thread. I think the ser.# is on all their rebate forms.
edit- I think the ser.# is on all their online rebate forms.
