Imation 50-Pk 32x CD-R's $2.99 after $10 MIR

I went to Best Buy (Iowa) and the best deal I saw there was a 50 pack of Imation blank CD-R's for $12.99 + tax - $10 MIR = $2.99 + tax. I also went to Staples after that and they had a cheapo brand of 32x blanks for $14.00 - $4.99 IR - $10.00 MIR = FREE. I have never heard of the brand before but I went with the imations.

Also, I got a 40x CenDyne which you've all been talking about for $119.99 - $25.00 ($25.00 off $100 purchase) - $40 MIR + tax, for me it came out to be $60.69 (including tax). Damn good deal I think, and that was at Office Max.

If anybody knows any good deal on ALUMINUM cases I sure would appreciate it. I am looking for a black one with a window in it. The one I'm looking at now is approx. $200 after S&H. I'm looking to spend below $125 for a kick a$$ one. Thanks.

I like it. Its face does have too much plastic, but is very functional and looks decent.

Unfortunately my best buy was cleaned out of the imations (more Friday) - That's Los Angeles, Washington near Overland for ref.

On top of that my Staples (Lincoln & Palms) had none of the generics. The staff proved once again why they're not legally allowed to perform elective surgery or drive heavy equipment (e.g. not too helpful).

You can get a 100 pack of the imations for 24.99-20=$4.99 thursday through saturday. Wait a day, save a dollar.

all the imations i've seen around, including the ones w/ the new labels, are from taiwan. so beware of ritek.

Imations have been Taiwan for a very long time. They are made by CMC Magnetics. I've had good luck with them.
