so folders are labels...i'm going to guess an extension (for tbird anyway) would need to be created so you could apply mulitple labels. It'll be interesting if google actually offers imap access. I wouldn't see why though. Then again, I undervalue ads because I never click on them.. I don't see how google is making the money.

Two labels for one email means it appears it two different folders pretty much the same way it would on Gmail.

I just forward all mail to main email and open in outlook express. You could leave the mail on the server and open anywhere if you like.

I meant for when you're using the imap client. you get the email.. and want to apply labels to them. what are you going to do, copy them to both folders?

and say you label a conversation something... and later on someone replies to that... will it show up in the folder or inbox, or both (on the client side).

I see lots of potential for things to get all fubared... or just left featureless if they supported this outright. I'd love to be proven wrong though, cause gmail imap would rule (if the reliability was there)

Looks fun. I've been wanting a free email that can do this.

i wish google would release an email client that handled their 'label' system so well. It's an awesome idea.

or ..

something develop for thunderbird similar to google's 'label'

I jsut foward it to an exchange server, but don't respond to anything> if sent messages would get sent to gmail's folders via imp, I would set it up in a heartbeat.

Any word on whether sent messages get saved on the server? Anyone try this with windows mobile 5 yet?

Ive been doing this since 2004. No big deal. When I get a gmail, my windows mobile 4.x phone notifies me. I pull up wm outlook, check it out if I want. I then go home, pull up outlook express and theres my gmail.

Again, no big deal. I have Tmobile.
