IMAP access on yahoo

Hello,

Does yahoo offer IMAP email access. i was browsing the net for the pop settings of yahoo and came across this link.

If I recall, it is only for paid users of Yahoo Mail .. not for the free accounts

I believe you can. Just check the the info when you login to Yahoo mail web access. They'll give the imap server name and SSL TSL ports if necessary.

yes, i checked that i can use the yahoo IMAP service. so google is not the only one offering an IMAP service.

i tried to use the hotmail POP account details with my hotmail account, but it does not appear to work. did a browse of the net and came across articles stating that hotmail live messenger POP accesss is only for paid customers, is this true?

it kinda true, Microsoft has a outlook connector for Microsoft Outlook. Which will allow you to access your windows live hotmail.

thanks for the reply sonoma,

the microsoft office outlook connector would not work on mobile devices. so to get email on your device you would need to payt the microsoft subscription fees, correct? unless you have a windows mobile device.

any idea if yahoo supports pop or is just imap?
