Imaging Cloning Software

I was looking for a simple program. I am willing to buy it rather than use a free program. Macrium is not allowing me to put multiple clones on one backup drive.

I was hoping for a program that would clone the drive and put it on an external drive. So I could keep several clones of different drives on one backup drive. A program that keeps the clones on the backup drive and you can simply "click" the clone to start imaging a drive.

Macrium seems to take up the entire backup drive with one clone. So I cannot figure out how to partition the external drive for multiple clones (images) with Macrium Free Edition. Even if it is possible with Macrium, I still prefer something simpler. Can anyone recommend software that is much easier to use than Macrium Free Edition?

Thanks for any help in advance.

I don't know of any that will do that - basically it is not then a clone. Consider multiple backup images on an external drive.

This.
The question apparently confuses the function of a clone with that of an image, though both are back up solutions.
See : https://knowledgebase.macrium.com/display/KNOW/Backup,+imaging+and+cloning

One can keep images of different drives on a separate drive, in different folders usually, but you cannot clone one drive to another without replacing the target drive's partitions.

With Macrium you easily " could keep several images of different drives on one backup drive."

I think I figured it out on Macrium. An Image of a drive is not the same thing? I thought Image means put the clone onto another HDD/SSD. You image the drive with a clone. So yes replacing whatever is on the drive with a clone or using an Image to install a copy of Windows. So yes I need to put multiple images on the same external drive. I partitioned the external drive. Doing that seems to be working.

If you know of any more user friendly software let me me know. Macrium originally created a single Image/Clone so my backup drive is 2tb. When I cloned the drive the clone took up the whole 2tb. saying that 220gb of 250 on the backup with the rest of the 1.75 tb unaccounted for turning the whole 2tb external drive into a 250gb drive. So use the Image function on Macrium. A clone will turn the target drive into the original drive. Creating a copy you use an Image. I think I can figure it out. I'll check back if I have further issues.

Thanks for the help. A clone and an Image are completely different (you clone the drive to another drive. Probably best for Mirrored Raid). I formatted the backup drive and started from scratch. I now have the images of the different copies of Windows neatly listed on the backup drive using Macrium Free Edition.
