I use Ghost 2001 and have previously used it to make an image of a clean instal+popular apps/utils for Win98SE on FAT32 C: but ive installed Whistler Beta 1 on an NTFS D: and ghost wont work on it. It just throws a wobly at me saying theres problems with something to do with some NTFS file thing (sorry, dont have a copy of message but ill replicate if need be) on the partition and i should run chkdsk to fix it - theres no problem reported
It gives the option to continue but then it just does it again and stops. It also gives the option to do a sector read of the partition instead but i havent tried that yet.
I had to reinstall whistler once after NAV 2001 screwed it silly (does anything Norton work with it, hehe) and it really doesnt like my modem drivers, its a complete hit and miss afair getting them to work
So id really like a backup of it as it is now so i dont need to spend over an hour just putting the OS on (quite a long installation eh ) letalone all my apps etc.
Any ideas/alternatives ?
TIA.
