Images in threads: Post a WARNING!

OK, now that images are enabled , I think we need to have a warning in the title to indicate what's going to be in the thread. I clicked on this thread & it's not exactly what I want to have popped up on my monitor at work...

Babe thread?

I was going to say the exact same thing 🙂 Gotta keep that finger close to the backspace key!

A warning would be nice.

i agree, alot of us are at work and if its not work safe then i think you should post so in the title.

also, some of us are still stuck with dialup...luckily only for the next 6 days, but it's still annoying. can you imagine how long the WWF threads would take to load with pics on dialup.

oy, I appended "Babe thread" to the title. I hope HTML doesn't get disabled, once users get used to it, they'll learn to use it responsibly.
This is essentially an experiment by the admins, leaving HTML enabled for the time being to see if we can handle it. I'm sure (or rather, I hope) that everyone deals with it responsibly.

i do agree with pretender. within time we will get used to it and use it wisely.

right now isnt a perfect example 😉

danny~!

Wow, that was relatively short lived! Oh well, you win some you lose some.

Just one question though, if they have been disabled then why are the original pics in the "babe/html test" thread still there? Just to tease us?

they can't remove all usages of html (without manually editing each post), but they can prevent people from using it in new posts.

I like the fact that AT has not allowed images. I hate going to other boards and loading up a page where everybody and their frigging grandma has 4 animated GIFs adorning their sig. And to add insult to inury, leave it to some fscker to have the goatse picture in his sig. :disgust:

I vote for no images, but I am a simplicity kind of guy. Links are easy enough to post if you want someone to look at images. To me, this is more consistent. If I want to read a thread, I click on it. If I want to see an image, I click on it.

Automatically being exposed to all images would like being automatically exposed to all threads. Of course I can disable the HTML, but then I have to re-enable it for any image I might want to see.

To "linkify" is easy enough and maintains proper discretion. I am glad the trial was short-lived.
