loukey, thanks for all your input. i'm gonna order this next week, it just looks perfect for what i'm looking fr, or as perfect as there is an real world.

Could anyone that bought one of the ImageQuest L90D+ 19 monitors give me the height dimension from bottom of stand at lowest setting to top of monitor please, as i'm looking to buy one but it has to fit in my cabinet, Cheers 🙂

Can anyone describe what it's like playing games on a 19" LCD? Most games have a max resolution of 1024x768, doesn't that look bad if you aren't playing in a native resolution?

BTW, I just ordered one of these. Can't wait, sounds awesome.

I will measure it as soon as I find a ruler.... its like 4.5 - 5 inches from the bottom of the panel to the desk.

Hmm, what games are you playing?

Battlefield Vietnam primarily. I guess I was generalizing, sorry! BFV has higher resolutions, but not 1280x1024. It has 1280x960 and that is very distorted. Friends that have 17" LCD's play in 1024x768 and 17" LCD's have the same native resolution as 19"s. I don't know anyone with a 19" LCD, so I am curious what playing games (BFV) in 1024 looks like on one. Hopefully BF2 will have 1280x1024, even though it will take a state of the art video card to run it decent at that resolution.

I have this monitor on the way too...Tuesday it should be here because of neweggs incredible shipping...I'll report back once it gets here...

I ordered mine today with basicly a whole new computer. I went and looked at some of the other imagequest moniters at frys and they seemed pretty damn good especially for the money.

I still have their L70 model (17") and without doubt this is the best 17" monitor I've seen. Incredibly crisp image, dual inputs, USB hub, etc.

I received mine yesterday and am quite happy. Brightness is excellent, contrast is good, and absolutely no ghosting (only tested in WoW so far). This is my second 19? LCD in a week (the other was just returned to Sam?s Club) and there is no doubt this is the better monitor.

The image is about on par with my old Hitachi 811 CRT monitor.

As for whoever was asking about the minimum height, it is 17? from the table to the top.

Oh, it does in fact have speakers. Cheap ones, but hey, they make noise. There is also a headset jack on the back for those without front audio ports on their PC.

i have been holding on to my crt all this time because i mostly play FPS games and i have been worried about ghosting. but i finally gave in and ordered one of these bad boys and when it comes in i'll let you guys know how it performs.

Someone with this monitor please perform this test and let us know how it goes.

Go to the following link.
NASA LINK

Accept any security messages you get and when the applet loads, maximise the window. You will see lots of white dots indicating where satellites are in real time around the globe. Use your mouse to move the position of the globe. Orient the orbit lines straight up and down and then drag your mouse across the screen. A fast screen, like a CRT, will show the white dots follow the mouse. A slower screen will cause the white dots to blurr causing a tail to form -ghosting.

Good test.

Mine should be here tomarrow according to fedex but it has me a little concerned because my package has been sitting in fortworth for 2 days now and hasnt moved, maybe something is up with fedex's tracking number.

ChiefValue is an affiliate of Newegg. And there is no method to getting free shipping at New Egg; either they have it or they don't on a particular product, it changes from day to day.

Did you go with the cheap shipping? (supersaver or whatever it's called)

Unlike UPS and USPS ground, which will deliver as soon as they can- i.e., package gets near your house, gets thrown on a truck, and delivered- Fedex leaves their ground packages at sorting facilities until the day it's scheduled to arrive. If you live anywhere near fortworth, they're probably waiting, and you'll get it today.

Received mine last night from newegg...super fast shipping and yes it did stay for a day at the sorting facilities..but still got it very quickly...

The monitor is nice..built nicely..doesn't have that cheap look like some other "budget" monitors. My biggest fear was dead pixels since newegg does have a strict 8 or more dead pixel policy. Luckily, it had no dead or stuck pixels to my delight. Setup was very easy...just basically plug the thing in with the supplied DVI cable....dropped the cd in and changed the driver. Easy.

Picture quality was great...I'm not very picky but I didn't notice anything wrong..no backlight issues...no nothing..but again..I'm not very picky when it comes to these types of things.

Haven't tried any games yet...tonight I'll pop in something and report back.

Overall..for $379 shipped...I'd give it a 5 out of 5 stars.

Got mine today, ordedred monday. Newegg rules when it comes to shipping, and no dead pixels. This is my first LCD so I have no point of refference but this monitor is unbelievable. Light years ahead of my sony 19'' trinitron. I have been playing FPS games all afternoon and everything is smooth as a baby's a$$. No ghosting whatsoever that I can tell and I'm pretty anal about these things. The dithering is only barely visible when you get super close to the screen and are really looking for it, I can't see it under normal circumstances. 5 out 5 stars from me as well and the best $380 i ever spent. Buy it, PERIOD!
