had to insert as code because the damn link doesn't work with the html link code this forum uses

i admit, i haven't tried myself because i do not have gimp nor have the time. this is hell week jr before hell week. ugh
after the 5th and once i'm back home and everything is unpacked, i'll give this a try. got a few other things I need to do as well.

gimp's downloads are all given as binaries. they do have links to a windows installer though. it's just not readily apparent. installing gimp now, woot :)

md5 files are just the md5 checksum. bz2 files is a type of compression. You can just delete the md5 and open bz2 with some sort of software like 7-zip

Like 90% of inventions, it's so obvious when you hear about it that you kick yourself for not thinking of it first. But I suppose that's what inventors do, think of things first.

Works better on landscapes and also when not resizing so drastically..

I tried to go to 66% but 2 GB of RAM was not enough :shocked:

I haven't been able to figure out how to highlight a portion of the picture like the guy does in the video so that it won't modify that section of the image.
