Image quoting

Can image quoting please be dealt with? Seeing the same image quoted several times in one page is incredibly irritating.

I suggest that any quoted images be dimensionally constrained to maybe 250px high (max), so we can see the pic referred to but not have endure the scrolling of large ones.

I don't want to disable ALL images, I just want to castrate people who quote images.
Damn, you and your bro are forum nazis.

Anyway, the idea above is a great one about shrinking down any quoted images. I have no problem with and like to see some image quoting, it maintains continuity of the initial post.

I agree with OP. This is akin to excessive nesting in FT, but more annoying because the images can easily take up a lot more room than quotes.

Users can easily edit out images in quotes, and replace with descriptor (or [IMAGE REMOVED] text) for image-only quotes.

I don't think it needs to be a hard and fast rule, but maybe a polite suggestion in a stickied "Welcome to AnandTech" thread or something?

Resizing the quoted images should be the only thing done but then again that should be done with any image too large.

I think this is a good idea, just make it so it shows the link to the image instead.

I like inline images so don't disable them totally, just in quotes.
