I'm watching the original 12 Angry Men

you have to see the original movie.

A great cast of actors, especially a young Jack Klugman.

With almost no forensic evidence, they investigate the case based on common sense.

I saw the original and thought it was really dumb. A lot of the evidence that they come up with in the jury room is so obvious that even the most dimwitted person could figure it out, and the fact that those things were not brought up in the trial just made it too unbelievable. And I thought the acting was typical over the top acting that you'd expect from classic movies.

12 Angry Hams - Starring:

Al Pacino
Christoper Walken
Nicolas Cage
Samuel L. Jackson
Kevin Spacey
William Shatner
Mickey Rourke
Eric Roberts
Tom Sizemore
Jennifer Coolidge
Jerry Lewis
Andy Dick

Amazing how they can produce such a great film in just that one room, eh?

What's even more amazing is that with all the money Hollywood throws around these days there is no way they could come close to movies like this one. Not even close.

Who needs acting when you can have CGI.

Glengarry Glen Ross is one of the more recent movies that I have seen that is completely driven by the great acting. It's almost like a modern day Death of a Salesman. Everybody usually has seen the speech by Alec Baldwin but the other speech that I really love is when Al Pacino and Jack Lemmon lay into Kevin Spacey.

There are a lot of classic movies that I don't enjoy nearly as much as their accolades indicate I should. This is not one of those movies. I love 12 Angry Men.

Also, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington and To Kill a Mockingbird.

You failed to 'get with the times' when watching the movie. It's fairly obvious a lot of evidence was held back in the trial and some of the jurors were willing to convict based on prejudice alone.
