Its basically a "computer" club where we do competitions at national levels, and we haven't come back without winning something at everything we've tried, so thats something to live up to.

I would have been the President but lost by a vote due to my teacher's different style of choosing president.

First, we had 4 people running, I got 9 votes another guy got 8 and then 5 and 4. The last two were basically kids who had some of their friends vote lol. So technically, there I won. Then, we had another vote against the top two people. So the other guy made a follow up speech and mentioned a lot more about previous years that he has been a part of this group. I made a follow up speech too mentioning that he had the experience being in the club for two years and that I was in it to make an impact and work for the future so even if I'm not president now, I may be later because I knew he had their opinions with the point on experience. This was my first year and so I think I did pretty good as VP for a first year. He actually hasn't gotten elected at all before and now he did.

Oh yeah, this means if I can do a good job this year then next year I can be president since that kid will have graduated!

ACM - Officially, it stands for Associates of Computer Machinery, but that would sound real nerdy over the announcements so its just ACM

You may not believe this yet, but people also associate abbreviations with dorkery.

You spelled "ACM" wrong in your first post.

If it means anything to you, I wouldn't have voted for a cocky s.o.b. who brags in Internet forums that he has accomplished more than his teacher.

Yes, that meant something to me. I changed my thread, I did not mean to be cocky at all, let along a sob

You absolutely sure about that?

It might be association for computing machinery, but something along those lines, hehe

Well, I'd just hate to be an officer of an organization and not know the organization's proper name. ;) But congrats on the position.
