Dvorak may be better but it's not worth the cost of retraining people. There are fast typists on both sides of the fence, so there is no need to brag about your typing skills. A balanced book with a lot of info about QWERTY vs DVORAK

From a technical aspect it should be faster, but very few people can master both qwerty and dvorak, and we all learned on qwerty so...

I've heard conflicting reports about the superiority of dvorak, so I'll stick to qwerty for now.
