The prices listed next to specific parts are estimates but the total at the bottom is newegg's final total with shipping. It's not really a gaming computer, but would it be able to run any current game at least with medium settings? Recommendations/comments please.

That's solid, but I would also take kooldrew's suggestion. It won't cost much more, but what's your overall budget?

Hit and miss in what way? I put corsair valueselect in a lot of computers that I build or help build for other people and I haven't run into any problems...they all run to specs.

Good advice from KoolDrew.

Spend the extra for a 6600GT -- if you can't find a good price at newegg, look for one in the Hot Deals forum they have been down to $150.

"Antec Solution SLK1650B Black Computer Case"

That case is apparently quite snug with a full ATX mobo in it:

You may not be able to put a full size drive in the bottom drive bay and your hard drive could conceivably interfere with a large video card.

Why not the Antec 3000B (Amazon) and something like a Fortron power supply? Slightly more expensive than the SLK1650B, but much more expandable and roomy to work in.

Read around, the 1650B is not like the other antecs, it's more flimsy and not up to good build quality (according to a few people)
