I wanna upgrade cause I have a chance to sell my current PSU for it's full retail value and whenever I want a new vid card I'm usually limited, and I'm also thinking of upgrading my proc to an opteron which I would oc as opposed to my current one which I just leave at stock cause it oc's like crap.

Johnny Guru Recommened and that alone made me buy the thing. Worth every penny and then some.

IF you need more watts just get the 620 version of the corsair. I love my hx520.

I have a HX520W in my system and it's been very good to me. There should be no problem upgrading to an Opteron.

Both the Corsair HX520w and HX620w are very good units. Pick the one that best suits your particular needs.

I just bought a 520. It uses quality components, has low ripple, and maintains solid voltage rails.

You can DO IT!!!

Yep!

They're basically Seasonic (belch) PSUs done right! :D

Kinda like the difference between a VW Beetle and a Karmann Ghia...

Q: What's NOT to like about them?

A: Nothing!

the corsair 620 can run 2 8800's in sli with a quadcore and a raptor and not even hiccup.

its obvious the seasonic/corsair team didnt skimp on anything. they wanted to enter the PS market with a statement.

i bought into it and so far from all i read i am glad i did.

The 520HX can be bought at buy.com for $89 after rebate right now. Combine that with the $15 paypal or $10 google checkout deals and you have a kick ass PS for cheap.

Planning on getting the 520 also. Don't trust my 420W HEC enough to drop in a eVga 680i board to OC since I'm already running a 8800GTX and 3 HDD's....
