Reason I want to move there is that their society is based largely on outdoors. I've done some calculating recently on my person. I spend anywhere from 4 to 8 hours of sleep in 24hours. Let's say 6 hours, that leaves me 18 hours of day.I crawl out of bed (horizontal)at 7 am. I shower, go sit down and pound back some coffee and smokes. I'm outta my house at 8:30.in that last 1hour and 30 minutes,,I have been sitting for 1hr10mins. I get in my car for a cruise to work,(sitting),that takes 45mins. So far I been up since 7am,get to work at 9:45am. I have been sitting for almost 2hours. Now I"m at work,,take my time going through the doors. Once inside, irratate my co-workers ( in fun of course )Sit down at 10:00am..Don't get up till noon.,,Get my drift?...It's sounded so unusual when I figured it out,,matter of fact,down-rite scary. My past work experience ranges from Constuction work,,Fishing Guide ( one of the best in my area). And now I'm a computer tech. I would have smoked my monitor MANY MANY times due to total frustration from these P'C's. P.C's in general. thats about all .rambling.

If you live in the US your chances of immigrating to another country are slim to none unless you have a job lined up or some other reason other than just to be outdoors as you said.
My cousin married a guy from Iceland. Iceland's population is only about 250,000. Most of the people live in the capital I do believe because the rest of the country is volcanic rock and not very hospitable. There are almost no trees. The people are very protective of their heritage. They are also very literate and many speak more than one language.
It's an interesting place but I wouldn't want to live there. Too cold for one thing. The Blue Lagoon is cool as hell, though.
