Again. Is anyone here vegan? Care to share anything? I'm pretty big (6'2" 215lbs), so I guess I'm going to have to eat a lot. Let me know what you think.

Yes, I know meat is delicious and all that.

Wow, that was fast.... lol

My problem is, everytime I eat meat, be it high or low quality (fast food lol), chicken, beef, deer, or other (hot dogs), I get a nasty, greasy feeling in my stomach.

I do eat vegan meals sometimes (like tonight, Teryaki Tofu with ginger rice, mushrooms and broccolli) and I feel better when I eat them.

I also don't need the hormones in meat, but that's just a side thing.

I do appreciate all comments, even the unsupportive ones ;)

it might be the hormones in the meat. See if you can get any free range chickens where you live

Seriously? I dunno.
If you're joking, then, um, 4?
no, I'm not joking. I remember reading that only certain blood types should become vegetarians. I think that it's only type As. It has to do with the proteins or lack-there-of in your blood.
and your blood type is in letters: A, B, O

I don't eat beef(well for the most part), I do eat chicken and Fish (mostly Salmon) I also BBQ a lot of Veggies, preferabley Bell Peppers, Yellow Onions, Italian Squash and Eggplant. Of course they are seasoned up well and they taste awesome (the Onions, give me nasty gas though, good thing I'm single) I also eat a lot of Fruit and have a lot of salads. It all tastes better thsan any Fast food crap and you can eat until you are full and not worry about gaining wieght (with some daily exercise)

i'm a vegetarian of 3 years and a vegan of about 3 weeks. doing quite well so far. perfectly healthy, and i have type o blood so i don't think that blood type matters at all. as long as you substitute the vitamins and minerals that are found in meat with something like beans, tofu, etc; you will be fine. :)

I am not a strict vegetarian, but I eat very little meat. Especially pork. I don't have a problem with dairy products, mainly I shy away from things that at one time had a face. I do not view hotdogs as ever having had a face. I also do not view them in the traditional sense of the word as "meat". However I got really sick off of one several years ago and I can't eat them anymore. I eat very lean chicken and beef occasionally. The only pr0k product I ever eat is pepperoni, and not too often. I don't eat fish or other seafood. Although I make no moral judgement against people who do, I personally am just uncomfortable eating other animals. I don't think it's wrong in any way at all, it just feels creepy to me:eek:

OK, what's the difference?

afaik, vegetarians don't eat meat... vegans don't eat meat, but also don't eat any products that came from animals, like dairy.

vegan- A vegetarian who eats plant products only, especially one who uses no products derived from animals, as fur or leather.

vegetarian- someone who doesn't eat meat, fish is sometimes included.
