Wow, that was fast.... lol

My problem is, everytime I eat meat, be it high or low quality (fast food lol), chicken, beef, deer, or other (hot dogs), I get a nasty, greasy feeling in my stomach

I agree. I feel the same way. If I eat a light meal I feel like I have a lot more energy than when I eat meat. I do still enjoy fish and rarely chicken, and of course I'll never give up cheese :). Red meat, however, I can't really stomach, literally.

By what crazy, messed up logic is fish not a meat? Eating muscle tissue from land animals is bad, but muscle tissue from sea animals is perfectly fine? Just because it came from the ocean means that they are not officially animals anymore?

my sister is a vegetarian who doesn't eat fish. her reasoning is that cows, pigs, chickens, etc. are animals that are raised specifically to be killed for food. they most likely spend a majority of their lives in a feedlot with thousands of other animals. seafood is different, most of it actually comes from the ocean.

oh, and Chaotic42, if thats what you want to do, more power to ya. i actually kinda admire vegetarians/vegans, i just dont have the will power to pull it off myself ;)

Vegan is not healthier than eating a small amount of meat, fish, or poultry, maybe once a week or once a month. Its almost impossible for a vegan to get enough protein. Most longtime vegans develop health problems and their doctors tell them to eat some meat.

In the meal I just ate (which was vegan), I got 40g (70% RDA) of protein from tofu. I ate a PBJ earlier which gave me 10g (17.5% RDA). That's 87.5% from one meal and a sandwhich. Beans are also protein rich (tofu is soy beans).

Since I require more than the RDA, if I actually ate regular meals, I'd get enough protein to start working out again. B-12 is the only thing that the vegan diet doesn't provide, and it's easily obtainable in suppliments.

I take 2 multivitamins, 1000IU of Vitamin E (3333% RDA), Flaxseed oil (O3 and O6 Fatty acids), Iron, Magnesium, and Calcium suppliments.

I busted out laughing when I read this. I know one vegan, and he claims its more natural. Next person to argue that veganism is more "natural" gets slapped by me.
