WoW.

I tried out Guildwars at a friends house a few days ago and thought it was boring as hell (though likewise, he was never able to get into WoW).

ive spent a lot of time in ffxi, but got fed up with the way some people play the game, and other crap thats going on there.

cool :D

I'm on a brake now from eve, letting a corp mate use the character. What corp/alliance/power group do you belong to?

lame game, good graphics and physics engine but lame game.

The only servers i can find for real life are permadeath PvP servers, i contacted a GM (or god as they call him) about getting my character transferred to a PvE non permadeath server so i can respawn easier, but so far he has not responded.

Things i dont like about the MMORPG called Real Life

1. Takes forever to level, takes exactly one year before you get to the next level.
2. Varying level cap that could end anywhere between 0 and 150
3. Only permadeath PvP servers available
4. No one but the ones from the Dungeons and Dragons guild seem to want to role play
5. The women are much harder to get to strip for you
6. I dont have biseps or a sexy body
7. No ignore list
8. Have yet to be able to get my mind control spells to work
9. No server crashes, down time, or patches that take all day, any downtime is my own fault (aka that pesky sleep, i dont know why the dev put that in there)
10. I feel like i am on the alliance side in Elwynn forrest on a PvP server or The Barrens horde side on any server.

The pros about the MMORPG called "real life"
1. Perfect physics engine
2. Plenty of eye candy
3. Everyone has voice overs
4. No NPCs, everything is a PC
5. Women are usually (note usually) really women
6. Good crafting system and good offline selling abilities
7. No monthly fee although ingame fees (such as food, housing, and taxes) may apply

Heres the thing, if you want to play a game with a bunch of people who act like they are 12, get WoW. If you want to play a game that is 1,000,000 times better then WoW, get EQ2.

i have been in xanadu since october/november '04. theyre part of the fountain alliance. my first corp was cornexant, and we moved out to fountain around the time the alliance first formed. months later, cornexant lost members, and we merged with xanadu. im currently based around nonni, running missions in my spare time. i had to come back to empire to get a new ship. you can contact me in-game if you want, my name is TimeKeepr.

wait a minute, SWG has more votes than eve? what the hell? must be the recent surge in star wars interest...

Not if that narcissism leads to getting laid.

But there's none of that "preformance anxiety" when you're doing the computer. :D

I always play GW, since it's free (after purchase). It's also a fun game.

However, during the summer when I have the time to invest I also play CoH. LOVE that game.

I used to play EQ, but thought it started sucking mightily after the Velious expansion...and even that one was questionable. The constant rate hikes don't help anything either. Although, to be fair to it, my nephew makes about $2000 a month on that game, so I'd hate to see it disappear entirely.

I beta'd SWG, thought it basically sucked. Anarchy online was clever, but got boring fast. DAOC had AMAZING potential, but I think it was badly mismanaged and I left after the first expansion. Haven't played the rest to tell you.
