I'll try this if I can figure out how to enable nView Desktop Manager. I can't find the option anywhere. I really don't like this new control panel.

You can get to nview by right clicking the nV icon in the notification area (provided you didn't disable the icon).

When I right click the NVIDIA icon in my system tray it doesn't give me an option for nView. Isn't this a multi-monitor setting? I've only got one display.

Use the nvidia classic control panel or b) start>settings>CP> nivida desktop manager

Found it! Thanks!

I think scaling can be done you just have to hunt for it - it's no longer on the top menu of the CP.

Try this:

You need to set up a toggle key.
1) Enable and open nveiw Desktop manager
2) Select "hot keys" tab
3) highlight or select the "toggle LCD scaling" and click "add" tab
4) Now select your hot key... I use ctrl +F1
5)bhit ok exit and now you should be able toggle LCD scaling instantly on and off with ctrl + F1

Good luck to ya..LMK if it works.

Did exactly what you said and it doesn't do anything. I went into BF2. Set the resolution to 1600x1200. Started the game and hit Ctrl+F1 and it didn't turn the scaling off.

I give up. I'm stuck with this damn problem until NVIDIA pulls their head out of their @$$. This sucks. :|

Verify that the scaling works on the desktop first, just switch to 1600*1200 and try it. I couldn't get it to toggle while in a game either. But I just left the scaling turned on when I switched back to 1920*1200 and games were scaling properly when they launched.

my $.02. I originally thought that the 1:1 pixel mapping was broken on my 2407 AO3 until I realized that you cant change the setting until you select a resolution other than native and wait until you see the DVI icon appear in the upper left portion of the screen, idicating the monitor changed video settings and is stretching to fit the screen. When that happens you can then activate the previously blacked out option in the dell's video options for 1:1 pixel mapping. I found this out while doing a 3dmark run and realized that before each test the monitor will flash quickly and display the DVI icon in the upper left corner. The downside is that you have to maually do this between each of the tests because the monitor resets itself everytime a new test is run. Hope this is relevant to your situation and is of some help

That doesn't work for me.

I changed my res to 1600x1200 and the Wide Mode is still not available.

wouldn't affect me any, my LCD automatically scales regardless of what the card is set to do (ATI does have the option to turn scaling on, off, or scale but keep aspect ratio). Only thing I don't like about my viewsonic, but then I'm used to it so it doesn't bug me much anymore.

I think the problem lies between chair and keyboard.

I've tried every suggestion and nothing works. I'm running a clean install of XP. It's the 8800 GTX and/or the drivers.

I never had a problem with my 7800 GTX or X1900XTX.

Are you even using an 8800 and 2407WFP? I'm not the only person who can't get 1:1 working with this setup.

Thanks for the help.

I will have my evga 8800 GTX tommorrow and own a 2407 so I will let you know what I come up with tommorrow night . Wish me luck

Damn it, Definately doesn't work with my GTX. Forced into using "fill". Although it doesn't really bother me it's just annoying that there is a fault in my rig

I discovered the other day that Dell's Wide Mode is available when using Vista. I installed Rainbow Six: Vegas on Vista x64 and set the resolution to 1280x720. I then went into the monitor settings and Wide Mode wasn't shaded out. I set it to 1:1 and it worked!

So for some reason Wide Mode works with Vista but not XP.

Non of this would be an issue if NVIDIA would just fix their drivers.
