Ok, so here's the deal. My neighbor (who happens to be freaking filthy rich) is moving back to England to "further expand his international boating company." So he's selling all four of his cars. A 1997 BMW M-Roadster, a 2002 Subaru Impreza WRX, a 2000 Mercede S500, and a 1997 Toyota Supra TT. Now he knows I'm really into cars because I'm constantly in his garage drooling over his cars. So he comes over tonight and asked me if I was interested in buying the Supra. My first response was HELL YEA. Of course, reason kicked in and I asked how much..he said $17,000. I almost fell over and died. I told him if he gave me a little while to sell my Si (which I can get about 10-12 grand for) and to scrounge up some loan money from my rents, I would be glad to take it. I have until the beginning of September to buy it. If I do get it (which I'm counting on) I will be the proud owner of a 1997 Supra Twin Turbo 6-Speed with a Stage 1 kit from SupraStore.com (0-60 in around 4.3 seconds :) ). And it only has 30K miles on it! I took some pics of it outside his house, but I put it on Super High Resolution because I'm stupid, so if you want to see some pics you're gonna have to wait awhile for it to load.

I'm going back to his house to take it for a test drive right now :)

Smokeball: No idea, but I'll ask him tomorrow before he leaves for work.
shadowmind359: He sold the WRX already and I have no idea on the Roadster, but I'll find out tomorrow.

I just got back from the "test drive". I've never gone that fast in my life. Hit 165 on I-65 then swore to myself I would never go that fast again. That car feels nice on the drive, has extremely comfortable leather, and has an extremely nice sounding blow-off valve. Now if I can only find 5 grand lying around my house.

Awesome awesome awesome. The Supra is going to cost an arm and a leg to insure, and drive carefully, because that thing is going to be a bit of a beast (but then, that's the whole point, isn't it?). Congrats!

Nice car... but I've never been a fan of metallic green. Maybe you should save up a couple more thousand to get it repainted silver :), it would look much nicer IMHO
