I was walking home from a party last night at the University of Minnesota (I'm a student there). It was about 1:30AM and I was headed west along University Avenue, which is a major one-way street along the northern edge of the campus. So I'm just walking, minding my own business when this black sedan pulls up along the shoulder next to me. There's a guy inside waving and making hand gestures that I don't understand. I assume he knows me somehow but I can't see him because it's pretty dark out, so I motion for him to roll down the window. Our conversation went something like this:
Him: "Hey there"
Me: "Hello"
Him: "How's it going?"
Me: "Uh, fine"
(at this point I realize I've never met this guy before)
"Are you 21?"
"No, I'm 20"
"So are you gay or bi?"
"Uh...no..."
"Curious?"
"No"
"Oh, ok"

Then he just rolls up his window and drives away. Suffice it to say that I no longer feel safe at night in the city of Minneapolis. I have nothing against gay people, but that was just....creepy.

That kind of stuff used to happen to me all the time when I was in the service in So Cal. in the 70's.

creepy, yes.

Ah, that's too bad. Hey, someday one of those dudes will get into the car with you. Keep your chin up!
lol
