I agree, cow-orkers is not a very welcomed idea, IMO. Anybody who'd ork a cow needs some serious councelling, maybe even shock therapy.

You could ask her how she got into computers or ask her about her home rig.

Try asking her a difficult computer question so you would have to talk another time. (as in she would have to do research or ask someone else)

these ideas are all actually good, but when you call for support, they just send whoever isn't busy over. so my chances are like .01% that she will get the nod. it is usually one certain guy that does all the comp support for this section of this building. :(

Well, I didn't quite get it, sorry. What do you wish you said to her? If you didn't say anything, maybe it wasn't appopriate and you felt it. That's the first thing that comes to mind.
