In about a year my tolerance was so low a single beer could give me an all night buzz.

Me too, it takes the equivalent of a 12 pack of beer (decent beer, not cheapo no alcohol stuff) to give me a buzz.

3-4 drinks and I'm on my way to being buzzed. No placebo effect. I just have a very very low tolerance to alcohol now. I hardly ever drink as I am usually the driver but when I was drinking more often my tolerance did go up to about 6-8 drinks before I'd be buzzing.
